We Can Be Drug Free Coalition

The We Can Be Drug Free Coalition works on underage drinking, suicide prevention and substance abuse issues as it affects the youth of Butler County. Strategies include public media awareness campaigns against underage drinking, vaping, and substance use. Additionally the Coalition hosts a Drug Free Youth Rally each Spring for youth ages 10-18. The Coalition also supports the Prescription Take Back Days and the Permanent Drug Drop Box located at the Poplar Bluff Police Department.  Sectors of the community serving on this committee include law enforcement, drug court, state agencies, medical, substance abuse treatment, media, higher education, school districts, youth, and local government.
