Our Mission - The mission of this organization, a group of human service professionals and other interested individuals, is to promote coordination and cooperation between social services providers, agencies, organizations, churches, the business community and the educational system. Goals are:
- Simplify access to services
- Identify gaps in service delivery systems
- Identify and coordinate available services
- Increase coordination and collaboration in the interest of service enhancement
- Promote inter-agency cooperation
Our Vision - The Butler County community will be a better place to live and raise a family: A community where coordination and cooperation are the rule of thumb and not the exception; a community where services will be integrated so there will be no wrong door and services can be mobilized to the need; and, a community where available resources will be fully utilized and additional resources can be effectively developed as needed. Butler County will be a place where citizens can look for a way to help one another not with a hand-out but with a hand-up.
Our Purpose - To promote coordination and cooperation between social service providers, churches, the business community and the educational system, in order to empower families and individuals to become more self-reliant, responsible and resourceful. The combined efforts of this Council will result in more effective use of diminishing resources.
Our Tasks - To identify gaps in services, eliminate duplication, enhance existing programs and seek progressive and creative ways to develop new resources. The caring and commitment of the Council membership will restore the concept of a truly "helping" community in the old-fashion sense and serve as a model project for others to duplicate.
Meetings - The CRC meets as a group at noon on the fourth Friday of most months at various locations. When school is in session, we usually meet at the Mules Cafe at the Poplar Bluff School District's Administrative Building. Individual committee meetings are scheduled as needed.
